Magenta is very excited to announce the release of their version of the wonderful Emerson, Lake and Palmer song “Lucky Man” as a download-only single.
Magenta multi-instrumentalist Rob Reed takes up the story:
“We have given the song the full-on Magenta treatment, and we hope the fans – whether ours or ELPs – will enjoy what we have done with it. We all certainly felt it was too good to be left on the shelf. Our arrangement also has a Christmassy feel to it, so it seemed right to issue it in December.”
The band has also shot a video to go with the track, which will be available from December 5th on Youtube or on the Magenta website at www.magenta-web.com

The third Sanctuary album is also the best of the trilogy. This one dares even more to expand the Oldfieldian style in new and exciting directions. It may be sacrilege to suggest it, but if this *were* a genuine Oldfield album, many might say it was one of his best, too. It's true that Rob Reed is standing on the shoulders of a giant, but he is a giant talent in his own right.
Often the music brings tears to the eyes, as if it were the soundtrack to the climax of a hard-won cinematic story. nickgreen90125

I always loved a lot of Ennio Morricone's work from the Clint Eastwood westerns onwards and Chi Mai is just magical. I thin I prefer the original orchestral version but 2020 Ditty is brilliant too. Russell Whyman
